The Manchester Philharmonic Orchestra is a dynamic new chamber orchestra based in south Manchester, which unites some of the most talented musicians from in and around Manchester to give stunning concerts three times a year.

As well as providing a platform for experienced adult instrumentalists to perform together, the orchestra encourages students from the Royal Northern College of Music and the University of Manchester to get involved, with several current students and recent graduates taking advantage of the opportunity to be part of this unique community.

Alongside exciting performances of both symphonic and chamber scale orchestral repertoire, MPO concerts have featured concerti performed by members and close friends of the orchestra.

 Since its formation in 2022, the orchestra has been praised for its detailed, energetic and high quality performances of repertoire from all different eras. See below for details of our upcoming concerts and past performances.
